Events & badges

Tailstrike is not only for a flight that you fly alone. An event brings the community together, with one objective. Some events also give a permanent mark on your hangar.

Events

• Event missions: fly-ins and challenges with one objective, at a given time. They operate as missions, with their own pages, maps and pilot lists. An event frequently occurs when a controller is on duty on VATSIM. Therefore you can have live ATC if you want it.
• Community missions: the weekly proposal and vote keeps a fresh community objective live at all times.
• Shared journeys: add legs to the history of an aircraft, with the other pilots.

Badges

• Some events and achievements give a badge. A badge is a permanent mark. It appears on the hangar of the pilot and in the history of the aircraft.
• A badge is a permanent record of the events in which you flew.
