We’re excited to announce Tailstrike’s first-ever community challenge, and you’re invited to be part of it!

To close out 2025, we’re challenging Tailstrike pilots to fly into any New York City area airport by 11:59pm on December 31 (New York local time). Complete the challenge and you’ll earn something special: the first community challenge badge ever issued on Tailstrike.

This badge will appear permanently on your pilot profile, marking you as part of the very first Tailstrike community event.

How It Works

• Fly into any eligible NYC-area airport
• Arrive anytime between now and Dec 31 at 23:59 (New York local time)
• Any aircraft
• Any distance
• One completed flight is all it takes

If you make it in on time, you earn the badge!

• KTEB – Teterboro
• KJFK – John F. Kennedy International
• KLGA – LaGuardia
• KISP – Long Island MacArthur
• KFRG – Republic

Community Challenges

This challenge marks the beginning of community-driven events on Tailstrike. It’s a small milestone, but an important one. Your flight becomes part of Tailstrike history, and your badge shows you were there at the start.

We’ll be rolling out more community challenges in the new year, including different formats and locations.
